Which option is right for me?
Do you consider yourself a strong writer? If so, a few quick passes through GradPilot would be a great way to highlight any content issues you might have overlooked. It’s a small price to pay for peace of mind and confidence!
If you’re not a strong writer, or if you’re a non-native English speaker who feels nervous about all this, the editors at Prompt will be super helpful. Not only will they highlight content problems, but they’ll show you exactly how to tweak your sentences—your actual words—so you sound sharp, intelligent, and as close to perfect as possible. It’s nice to have an actual human friend who really wants to see you succeed, yeah?
How is coaching different from the courses?
Coaching is for applicants who haven’t written anything yet and don’t want to figure out how to do this on their own. Honestly, we believe our self-guided courses—The Master’s SOP Formula and The PhD SOP Formula—are THE BEST way for you to produce an A++ SOP. But, that takes work, time, self-discipline, and a willingness to think through big problems on your own. If you’re the kind of person who’d rather have an expert talk you through the whole process, from brainstorm to submission, and if the money isn’t an issue, then coaching could be a great option for you. But don’t get us wrong: we still think The SOP Formula is the best path for everyone who’s willing to do the work. Simply put, it generates the best results.
What's the difference between AI and human reviews?
AI reviews from GradPilot are lightning fast and they’ll highlight problems you can fix on your own (with a few pointed suggestions). Human reviews from Prompt take 2-4 Business Days, but they’re intense. They often result in 1-3 pages of notes that try to wholly understand you and your goals (something AI is incapable of). When necessary, they’ll get surgical with your sentences, and give you detailed, super-clear examples of how you can be sharper, more concise, and more intelligent with your language and ideas. As we said above, it’s awesome to have an actual human friend who really wants to see you succeed.
How long does each service take?
AI reviews from GradPilot are basically instantaneous. Human reviews from Prompt take 2-4 Business Days.
Can I use multiple services together?
Absolutely. A lot of our past students started with GradPilot, then moved on to Human Reviews and even coaching to ensure their SOPs were as effective as possible. Often this happens when students don’t know how to edit their 1,000-word SOP down to a tidy 500 words, or when they’re just super-busy with work and want to take a breath, step back, and hand their essay off to an expert.
What if I've already taken a WriteIvy course?
That’s fantastic! You’ll join a great many other students who’ve written a brilliant foundation essay in our course, then used reviews for a final coat of polish (and a final dose of confidence in themselves). That’s what it’s all about in the end: reaching a point where you’re totally confident in what you’ve written—where you know you’ve given yourself the best chance of admission. Step 2
